
The resolution of European Parliament has recently instructed the European Commission to take strict actions against default jurisdictions of national online gambling. By following with this they have files complaints against Germany and Greece. In case of Greece, Remote Gambling Association (RGA) and European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), representing the biggest online gambling operators of Europe, have filed the complaints. The main provisions, which were complained against Greece, are given in a joint statement list from RGA and EGBA. These are online gambling operators having license are required to have permanent base in the country of Greece. They should definitely impose restrictions of higher age limit on the online casino players as compared to the land-based casinos.
In case of Germany, complain has been registered by gambling operator Betfair. It has opposed the draft of German regulatory government on the basis that it gives protection to monopoly gambling operators, operating in the provinces of Germany. The complaints had requested European Commission to force the states of German for abiding with the rules of
European Court of Justice (CoJ) and EU market principles.
