SEGAGames goes into online gambling

An additional EiG forecast bore fruit this week when the giant global gaming software giant Sega went into the online casino and poker division in partnership with Playtech plc.
SEGAGames, an entirely owned affiliated company of Nikkei-listed Sega Sammy Holdings Inc. in Japan, is going to handle the online operations of SegaCasino.com and SegaPoker.com, both of which utilize the Playtech backend, alongside progressive jackpot and other games.Additionally, Sega is going to be releasing some of its own unique titles including Sonic the HedgeHog, Virtua Fighter and House of the Dead - themes familiar to video gamers around the world.
The online enterprises are licensed by Alderney and provide a ‘one user account’ system via the SegaPass e-wallet platform. The poker operations are part of Playtech’s iPoker network.
