Leisure and Gaming increasing partners

The UK Gambling group Leisure and Gaming’s increasing number of partners in the growing Italian and Cypriot markets, particularly the startup of real money online poker in Italy throughout the 4th quarter of 2008 has brought in better outcome than anticipated, the group announced in a trading update this week.
L&G's land Italian partner network went up by 13 %, or 65 outlets to 584, and in Cyprus the number of partners more than 50% up, from 21 up to 47. Online gambling operations in Greece were also boosted and the outcome of the startup of new casino products related to that demographic.
L&G's release of its key performance indicators indicated that the 3 month period to the end of December 2008 brought in a boost in the amounts wagered of 6 % to Euro 24.1 million.
