Soccer enthusiasts from 8 European nations are going to be paying attention closely this weekend as the playoff round of qualification for next summer’s World Cup competition in progress.
These teams finished 2nd in their respective qualifying groups and now need to compete against a fellow European second best home and away starting Saturday for the right to compete in South Africa next June together with their 9 previously qualified competitors.
The Republic Of Ireland competes with previous World Cup champions France. The opening game is going to be held at Dublin’s Croke Park previous to the event moves to Paris and the Stade De France on Wednesday.
