US Democrat, Barney Frank, has announced to a major British newspaper his approaches to get back to the strict laws against online gambling laws in the US. The UIGEA was speedily enforced through by the departing Republican government just one day previous to President Obama was inaugurated.
Since the law was issued in 2006 the consequences have been felt throughout the industry. The laws in opposition to online gambling were harshly tensed and even ended up in arrests of some executives in US airports. The laws have caused major sites and networks including PartyGaming, OnGame and Microgaming to stop allowing US players to access their sites.
