Law against online gambling in Poland

Accordingn to Agence France Presse, Poland’s president Lech Kaczynski has penned into Polish regulation the measures limiting gambling to casinos and taking out slot machines from gaming arcades, cafes, clubs, shops and service stations.
However, Kaczynski asked Poland’s constitutional court to rule whether the quickly implemented regulation was corresponding to the constitution presidential aide Wladyslaw Stasiak unveiled Friday. The regulation came after a political corruption scandal in which government figures were named.
The country’s liberal prime minister, Donald Tusk, stated the harsh regulation was with the goal to boost taxation of the sector and at “limiting and if possible, rooting out” extremely addictive forms of gambling risking young people under the age of 18.
