DoJ seizure attempt fails

The United States Court of Appeals has blocked an effort by the US Department of Justice effort to confiscate 7 million dollars-worth of possessions from the international bank accounts of online gambling enterprise WorldWide Telesports and its fugitive major shareholder Bill Scott.
It was almost certain for the Justice officials that the assets would be taken away but Court of Appeals Judge Thomas B. Griffith put a crimp in the DoJ works by saying that the confiscation was not relevant since Scott was not really a renegade under all 5 conditions lay down by US regulations.
In spite of the warrants for Scott's arrest, Judge Griffith ruled that the government wasn’t allowed to seek penalty of the $7 million as Scott's case did not fulfill entire 5 criterion set up by previous federal court interpretations of US "fugitive disentitlement" decrees.
