Top professional poker player Jamie Gold missed a great chance to get paid on Sunday night so as to host an exclusive competition after the Oscars for the Children Uniting Nations charity.
Gold decided this time to let go of the chance of competing at the Los Angeles Poker Classic, a World Poker Tour event that was held simultaneously with a prize pool of 7 million dollars. Instead, he dedicated his time to charity.
The charity event took place throughout the Hollywood Reporter/Children Uniting Nations Gala following the yearly awards ceremony and featured a tax-deductible buy-in that gave players to compete next to Gold and other experts and celebrities.
