Hong Kong police busting unlawful betting organization

Major Asian betting organization has been shut down by Hong Kong police clamping down on unlawful internet betting on the World Cup.
According to the police spokesmen, the group had taken in 7 billion yuan (GBP 679.9 million) throughout the World Cup alone, and that its influence and activities rolled out widely reaching southern China and Hong Kong.
74 people involved in the activities have up to now been taken into custody in an enforcement initiative called ‘Operation Copperflame’
Throughout a number of major police actions, betting records and tool related to online gambling had been seized, spokesmen stated. More than 400 bank accounts used for processing the betting, were uncovered throughout the investigation.
