The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) might be cancelled after next month, when House of Representatives Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank is going to bring in bill to remove the law from the books. This law has created big problems amongst the U.S. and European Union, where numerous stock exchange listed online gambling companies have lost billions in market value after UIGEA was issued on the U.S. books at the end of 2006, and the fact that E.U. could file a complaint in opposition to the United States about the enforcement of the online gambling prohibition are the major reasons for the latest bill that would efficiently cancel the UIGEA. It was verified by spokesman for the Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank that the Representative is going to introduce again a bill to cancel the online gambling prohibition after next month.
