New Jersey has witnessed the dawn of the era in which online gambling would be regulated.
The Senate Budget Committee accepted the legislation, paving the way for this bill to move along in the state legislature. Senator Ray Lesniak has worked hard for the cause. He was the one who has introduced the legislation, which would help improve the growth of race tracks and Atlantic City casinos with increased revenue.

The online betting rooms would be permitted to proffer their services to users only within New Jersey. They have included that part to the law so any prospective problems at the federal level would be avoided.
The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act was formed in 2006 in an attempt to stop online gambling from spreading out in the US. However the law did not work out at all. Hence, individual states have decided to take charge and have decisions pertaining Internet Gambling Laws by themselves. Florida and California lawmakers also have decided to look into the possibilities of online poker regulations.
